Author Spotlight - Steffie Dawn
Bio - (Here's attempting to reword 3rd person into first sort of!) I'm twenty one years old and I live in a small city called Bangor in North Wales, United Kingdom. My first book, Meeting My Master, was published in April and it's the first of a series of seven with the second due for release May 11th. I like to volunteer in my local community and I encourage others to do the same, my favourite form of volunteering is with young people teaching the creative arts and yes, sometimes that includes writing. I have won a few competitions for poetry but my love is writing longer stories. I love music, listening to it and playing it.
5 Facts - I am a diet coke addict
- I can eat as many digestives as I have whether it be two packets or just one, it's like pringles, once I pop I can't stop!
- Alcohol and I don't mix, I don't like the taste or how it makes me feel so I rarely drink to excess.
- I have a scatter cushion obsession, they take more room in my bed than I do.
- I nearly died age 1 because I stole a pickled onion off of my sisters plate, sucked it dry and swallowed it. I wouldn't be alive today if my gorgeous grandmother hadn't saved me.
Hobbies/Interests: Other than reading and writing I love anything creative, I dance, sing, act, though I have a huge fear of public speaking. I love drawing though I can't draw anything but copy cartoons. I love making things like arts and crafts stuff.
Books: Ok so Meeting My Master (A week with my Romanian #1) is already available, it's the beginning of Ella and Master's journey together. I have big plans for this series, I hope one of the books will contain something that many of the popular BDSM/Erotica writers haven't done, though I won't speak too soon, my Mum is reading these books! I am also working on a new project, a full length novel, called Sins, this will be more young adult which is a stark contrast to the current series I'm working on! Sins is hopefully going to be an angst filled romance, not everyone's cup of tea just like erotica but this story has been in my mind for so long and the subject matter is close to my heart.
Further Plans - I am aiming to get the series finished by October and get the Novel finished by Christmas. I do have a couple of other little ideas that are just beginning to blossom but there's such a stark contrast between them all I don't want to be fleeting from one genre to the other so we'll see. Maybe I can make them work into the genres I've already committed too.
Who you would like to write with - This one is easy. Jacqueline Wilson. I know she's WAY outside my genres but I idolise her. I followed her books through my childhood and even got the pleasure to meet her once and also my aunt got me a couple of books signed by her. Actually, I don't care about writing with her give me five minutes to do a Q&A and I'll die a very happy woman!
