Gabrielle Willis is smart. She's funny. And oh yes, she's a bit klutzy.
When Gabrielle left sunny California bound for the energy of Manhattan, she was willingly leaving the life she had known for the new life she would create. But was she really leaving something behind or was she running away?
On the outside, Gabrielle Willis has it all under control. A new life in Manhattan, a great roommate, and a good job. But she is haunted. Haunted by a memory she's tried to forget and by a family who's abandoned her. But what happens when what's on the outside is only an illusion and in perfect contradiction to what's buried deep within?
Enter Dane Rhodes. He's gorgeous, smart, and sexy as hell. Just what Gabby wants, or so she thinks. But when she meets Brad Dixon, the sweet guy with the crooked smile, he begins to make her see that the very thing she is trying to run from is the very thing that just may push her to see the
About the Author:
Beth Michele (pen name for Beth Michele Luciano)
Beth Michele is a wife, a mom, an author and a lover of all things chocolate, well, anything sweet really. While stuffing chocolate in her face, she enjoys reading young adult and new adult novels furiously, and spending time with her husband and two adorable children who keep her on her peppermint pink painted toes. Those same children who inspire her to tell silly stories that cause hysterical giggles to tumble from their bellies.
Beth loves to laugh and loves to have a good cry, especially after reading a novel that stretches her soul, the ones that make her feel, and linger in the corners of her beating heart.
Beth began writing when she was in middle school, penning anything from short stories, to poetry, and then later to write children’s books. Her debut novel, Love Love is due out May 8, 2013.
We were hanging out on the makeshift dance floor. Clark’s hands were roaming, our hips were swaying, and we were all dancing our free little hearts out. The fuzzy feeling in my head caused me to react as Clark pressed his firm body against mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and plunged my tongue into his mouth, relishing the familiar taste of him. When I pulled back, I could see Fran staring at us, probably because we were practically making out in public. I didn’t care, Clark turned me on in ways I never imagined, and there wasn’t a moment that went by that I didn’t crave his touch, his lips, his everything.
He leaned in close to my ear and his warm breath blew a breeze my way, causing me to shiver. “Angel, let’s get out of here. I need to be alone with you.” The look in his eyes told me he wanted me, not to mention the stiffness I felt pressing against my thigh. I wanted him, too. “There’s somewhere I want to take you,” his hot breath whispered and his musky scent overtook my senses. When he looked at me with those persuasive baby blues, it was hard to say no.
A couple of relaxing, mocha-sipping blocks later I’m suddenly frozen to the spot, my coffee almost spilling on my blouse. I check my pulse. I’m still alive. Good. Whoa. This guy is hot. Smooth jet black hair, beautiful emerald green eyes, broad shoulders, and a body built for sin strolls toward me, one sculptured arm dangling a suit jacket over his shoulder, his body donned by a finely tailored black suit. I think I just had an orgasm. He’s freaking beautiful. I close my eyes and I’m immediately locked on a visual. Yup, I’ve got it. My fingernails digging into his back while he hovers over me, screaming my name, sweat dripping from his chest and landing on my breasts. Okay, close your mouth, Gabby. The drool is pooling at your feet. Shit. He must have noticed me staring. When I pass by him, I see the corner of his lips curl into an alluring smile.
What can i say? An amazing, sweet romance book. I could not stop smiling at all, when i finished reading the book, i stopped for a little bit, but not long at all. Its one of those books that is going to make you smile for a long time.
I love the idea of the story, the way it develops is perfect, not to fast, not to slow, just perfect.
"Everything looks so much brighter today. The sky is a magnificent cobalt blue, the clouds look like puffy white marshmallows, and I'm happy. Not the fake, suck-it-up-and-put-a-smile-on-your-face-happy. Really happy. For the first time in a long time."
I love this bit. What can i say?
Character, Gabby is amazing i love her, i love how she is wrote about, she seems like a real person. I love her relationship with her best friend. Fran has her own role, she is not just there as a extra character, she has a place.
Gabby is so lucky, she meets not one but two men. Don’t worry it is not a love triangle book.
Dane and Brad.... *Swoon*
Brad, what can i say I LOVE YOU!!! He is such a sweet man, melts my heart. He is so sweet, caring, gentle...... a total SWOON man. He made me tear up a few times.
"You're not ready for me yet, as much as I wish like hell you were. But I'm patient. I'd wait forever to be the one who gets to hold your heart."
Brad Dixon is my new book boyfriend.... I am not willing to share.
"I lean against Brad's shoulder and he softly kisses my hair. Bringing my hand to his chest, I feel the rapid beat of his heart.
He inches closer and whispers, "Do you feel that? That's what you do to me."
Now do you get why?
This is one of those books that you fall in love with everyone. Lots of *Swoon” moments. Perfect story, perfect end.
"Lastly, but certainly not least... to my readers. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I was a reader long before I became a writer, so I know what it means to read a book that makes your spirit soar and your heart happy. I hope my novel does that for you."
Okay, I love Beth, i love her even more after reading her acknowledgements, Beth has worked so hard on this story and you can tell.I can’t wait for more stories from Beth.
